Gregory Blumenthal, Secretary/Treasurer, RTC-SRA

Dr. Gregory Blumenthal has a Ph.D. in pharmacology and over ten years experience developing and applying physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models for study design and risk assessment. He spent five years designing and analyzing studies for the National Toxicology Program (NTP) at the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), where he was also involved in the integration of PBPK modeling simulations into multistage and benchmark dosing models for the analysis of cancer and non-cancer endpoints. He acted as a team leader on IRIS risk assessment projects while an employee of the National Center for Environmental Assessment (NCEA) at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Dr. Blumenthal is currently the owner of GMB Consulting, a quantitative toxicology and risk assessment consulting firm. Dr. Blumenthal is considered an expert in the design and validation of computational models for use in risk assessment, and has given seminars, workshops, and tutorials on this topic.
